Deer Creek!

Year 5 at Deer Creek!!! The kids (Mike and I too!!!) were SO excited to hear that camp would be open this summer. After being cooped up together for so long, we all needed a break from eachother.

All 3 went for 2 weeks. When we dropped them off, they scanned us to make sure we were fever free and we signed all the waivers. But once the kids got out of the car...it was camp as usual. The kids were excited to see friends and be back at their happy place. Jake and Grant were in the same cabin. Joshua moved up and was not a bitty...thank goodness!!! We loved seeing the pics of him on the high ropes course! We can't wait for the kids to get home so we can hear all the camp stories!!

Headed to Highschool!!!

The last few days at Garner are usually a big deal. 8th grade party, Sports Awards and 8th grade Awards. But this year is totally different. PTA felt like the kids really needed an end of year celebration...so we had the first ever drive through 8th grade parade. We had a HUGE turnout. About 3/4 of the 8th grade class drove through for a tshirt, goody bag, palletas, any awards they received...and lots of CHEERS!!! All the 8th grade teachers came to cheer for the kids as they drove by. It was so much fun and such a great way to celebrate the kids in a totally new way! Since I was working the whole time, Jake drove Sophia and I only got 2 pictures. I wish I had been on the other side to see all the teachers cheering for her.

Middle school for most kids is hard. But overall Sophia had a great time at Garner. She had lots of good teachers (a few bad ones mixed in), some great coaches and lots of fun in athletics. She's excited to move on to Mac...and I just can't believe we now have 2 kids in highschool!!

Quarantine life...

Ranch with the Dunlaps.....

We finally got all the Dunlaps up to the ranch. John had been there to hunt with the guys, but Lisbeth Anne and the kids had never been. They came up for 2 nights and we had so much fun. River time, dune buggy driving, snake sighting, painted bunting calling, creek adventures, skeet shooting.....it was a blast. The kids all got along so well and the grown ups always have a good time!

Lisbeth Anne had lots of fun taking artistic pics. We didn't get a ton of pics with people because we were trying to fly under the radar because of the whole Covid shutdown!
