George Strait....

George Strait had his final tour this year and was playing at Kyle Field. We went back and forth about tickets....they were not cheap!! But we decided to go and it was the BEST!! Joshua opted out and stayed home. Mike, Sophia, Jake and I left around noon, had an early dinner with Nicole and headed to the stadium.

SO many people!! The concert set an all time record for the most number of people at a concert....around 110,00. We had seats up high but still had a great view.

It was pretty hot and once we got to our seats, we really didn't want to leave!! All the lines were long so we just got some water and stayed put.

It really was incredible. We had so much fun. He played all the great songs. Just George on stage singing...nothing flashy. They did have bracelets that lit up during some songs but overall just singing all the good songs!! He sang "Just an Old Troubadour" as the last song...walked all the way out but then came back for an encore.

Truly an unforgettable night. It was crazy hot, crowded and took an hour to get out of the parking garage after the concert...and we got home at 4am. But we have such happy memories of the night!!

Ranch Trip....

We spent a full week at the ranch the first week of June. It was SO nice to get away. It was a whole week of everyone coming and going at different times. The weather was perfect and
we had so much fun!

Joshua, Sophia, Hugh and I did a full creek stomp/swim. The water was so high because they had so much rain recently. I don't remember when I've seen the ranch so wet!!! We went all the way to the mouth of creek...it's been so long since we've done that. We thought about swimming down to the cabin but the water was moving so fast. We decided it was probably smart to turn around.

Spent a night at the Herridges swimming and playing games. Hugh attempted the milk challenge but had enough sense to stop before he got sick!!

It was the perfect easy get away after all the busyness of graduation. And such a fun time to be at the ranch with such beautiful weather!
