Prayers needed...
A wonderful, sweet, Christ-filled family in our church suffered a horrible tragedy this weekend. One I can not imagine going through. Their lives are completely turned upside down and they are sick with grief. Jamie posted on her blog http://jamespurejoy.blogspot.com/. You can read more about it over there. So so sad. Many prayers are needed for them. I got to know this family through the MOPS group. They have a daughter that is about Sophia's age. April and I were pregnant at the same time. Her daughter was about 5 months younger than Joshua. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

More sewing...
I know...I know...I'm well aware that the recent posts have been about sewing and not about kids. I need to work on this!!! My camera is missing the battery cover and it's hard to take pictures of moving objects. Must fix this before Jake's birthday!!!
This is for a friend's birthday on Monday. I plan to package it up with a Starbucks card. Who wouldn't love a coffee cozy http://www.houseonhillroad.com/coffeecozy.pdf, a coordinating key fob and a Starbucks card. Perfect!!!
I found this cute tiered skirt tutorial from http://www.crapivemade.com/2010/07/tiered-skirt-tutorial.html Made one for Sophia and one for her friend. Both with the same fabric, just a different order. Then I needed a shirt to match, so I found brown tanktops at Target and added the applique.

Happy 3rd of July...
Yes...it's a day early...but we were celebrating the 4th today...and we'll celebrate tomorrow too. But, today was the big neighborhood parade. The kids were SO excited. Sophia ditched her bike before it even started. She ended up riding on the shoulder's of a friends mom!! It was a long 4 block parade! Jake made it the whole way on his bike. He fell early on, but got over it. I was proud of him for getting back on and continuing! No pictures of Joshua. :( He was there...just a quiet rider in the stroller...taking it all in!
Both kids tried the rock wall and made it about 1/2 way up. Way to go!!!!
One word for this little group....TROUBLE!! But aren't they SO adorable???

Be a Winner....
Head on over to my friend Jamie's blog, http://jamespurejoy.blogspot.com/, on Sunday to see the giveaway she is doing. It's a pink and brown theme...from me!!
3 bows and a key fob.
Enter...and you could be the winner!!!!
Good luck!!
