A Weekend Of....

Family Fun Night...always a good time at NPDS. This was my 3rd (and last) year to be in charge!!! We had a great turnout and made a lot of money for the little school!!

Spring Break 2013

 

 He looks like he should be hitting the slopes with his snowboard!! But, just headed outside for a little Easy Roller race!! :)

 

Mike took the whole week off and we headed to the ranch. We had a great time hanging out and enjoying being away from the usual routine!!

 The boys headed out to hunt birds. Lots of shots...took a feather off one bird.

 

 And then there's always a fun time playing in the corn as the feeder gets emptied out!! I know there were some happy deer and hogs that night when they found a mountain of corn on the ground!!!

We had lots of fun at the ranch. This was our longest trip in a while! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to go to and have so much fun!!



Catching Up....

Life has been pretty busy lately. Sew Embellished is keeping me very busy. I'm so excited about all the changes and new customers. It's just a learning curve on how to juggle it all. And..Family Fun Night is right around the corner, so that adds even more work to do right now!!

But...kids are having lots of fun!! Finishing up a great basketball season with the Creepers. Jake has made awesome progress and has been playing SO well. One basket, lots of shots and has really been "in the game!"

 

 

Joshua has been waiting patiently for his turn to bring home Callie the Cow from Ms. Martha's room. The kids take turns bringing home Callie for the weekend and then recording their adventures!! Callie came to our house this week since next week is Spring Break. Not a whole lot of excitement, but Joshua loved having a turn with the special cow. :)

Wonderful Teachers....

This year both big kids are lucky enough to have wonderful teachers. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Northwood teachers....it's a great little school. I think we got extra good ones this year! Mrs. Collier was Jake's teacher last year....so we already knew her well and really really liked her. Sophia loves having her!!

Mrs. Howe is an incredible teacher. She works SO hard to get the kids where they need to be. I think she really goes above and beyond!! Jake really likes her and has been working very hard!! She has such a positive attitude and sets the expectations high for her students!!!

 

Having good teachers and ones that the kids really love makes the school year much much easier!!

What We've Been Up To....

A school holiday means a trip to Landa Park with friends. Ducks, nutria, crayfish, fish, a picnic and big playground....what a fun trip!!

 

 

 A hoe down at school....Rodeo attire and country music + friends = a good time!! The big kids showed off the square dances they learned in PE.

 



 

And a LOT of fun projects like this one. I love love love my new embroidery machine. Business is really picking up and I'm able to do SO many fun things that I've been wanting to do!!!

7 years ago yesterday we welcomed this little bundle of joy!!!!

 Now we have a 7 year old in the house and we celebrated with an Art Party!! 9 little girls over to paint and have fun. I got caught up in the crazy and forgot to take a picture of all the girls together, but here are 6 of them. A friend from church came over to lead the painting and the girls loved it!!

I can't wait to see what year #7 has in store for Sophia!! She is a sweet, happy, thoughtful little girl and I couldn't be more proud!!

So Cute....

Nothing like checking on the kids at night. They look so sweet. It makes up for all the daytime drama!

 

 

 And...yesterday the kids had an art lesson from someone at church. I had bought the lesson in the silent auction before Christmas. They had a great time and were so happy with the way their sunflowers turned out! They are all so different!
