Colorado Part 1....

We headed out on our long road trip to Colorado and the first stop was Lubbock. We had a great dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.

The next day we went to Prairie Dog Town and the kids had a blast seeing all the prairie dogs and feeding them. They were so tame....and very fat!!!

Deer Creek Pics and Awards

Late pictures from Deer Creek and their certificates.....
Sophia had to switch cabins after the first week so she had 2 pictures. And Joshua never got a picture since he was a late arrival. :(

Watch Out!!!

Watch out on the roads....Jake has his permit!!!! Still needs to finish Driver's Ed and can't take the driving test until January...so we have lots of time before he is legal to be on the roads alone!

Headed Higher!!!

Jake and Sophia were able to go with the church on a youth group trip to Higher Things Conference in Wisconsin. They drove in the church van....and it was a LONG trip. They were gone a total of 9 nights. They stayed in dorm rooms on the campus of Concordia Lutheran. I know they had a great time and stayed very very busy!! They even got to see the Truwe's....but Sophia was bummed that Naomi did not come this year. They can't wait to go on the next trip....but we're all hoping it's not quite so far away!!!

Deer Creek Year 4!!!

Year #4 for our kids at Deer Creek. As always they were super excited!!! Grant went this year and so did Lucy!!! 5 cousins at camp together. Joshua had to go on Tuesday because he had been running a fever....but he jumped right in when he got there and had so much fun!!!

Sophia won the "trip award" for her attitude that started out rocky, but ended on a happy note. They go on a bus to a nearby property and camp for 2 nights. Hot and long hikes...but she had a great time!

They are already looking forward to next year. Sophia (for sure), Grant and Joshua are thinking about staying 2 weeks!! Makes me so happy to see how much they love camp.

25 Years!!

It was 25 years ago that we met in Collins our first few days at Baylor. 25 years later and we may not see eachother super often, but we always pick up like no time has passed. Kelly's oldest, Ryan, was in a volleyball tournament so I came up here to spend as much time as I could with her. We did watch a lot of volleyball, but also ate some great food, fun shopping and lots of laughs. So blessed to have her in my life!! And can't wait until the next time we get to see eachother!!!

Ranch Fun!

We spent 4th of July at the ranch. While I was in Dallas, Mary and Brad led a big river expedition. The kids had a blast!!! Looks like they had SO much fun!!

A boy and his dog...melt my heart!! Both love the ranch so much!!!!
