Reformation Fest....

We took our Ninja, gypsy and Spiderman to Reformation Fest at church last night. Food, fun and games in the parking lot this year. It was a perfect night to be outside and the kids had a great time.

Listening to teh story of Jonah. They made a big whale for the kids to sit inside!

Ole Market....

I decided to upgrade and have a booth at the Junior League Ole Market this year. 4 days of being in the 10x10 booth hoping and trying to sell stuff!! It was fun and I did sell quite a bit, but not like I hoped. I came home with a a lot of inventory. Live and learn!!! Not sure if I'd be up for trying again next year!

Soft Feet....

What's more fun on a Saturday afternoon than soaking your feet?? We took turns giving each other pedicures. I think my feet needed a lot more work than their little toes!!!

Annual Bike Rodeo....

October rolls around and that means Bike Rodeo!!! Many nights of practice at the school going through the course.....super super slow through the wide lines, super fast through the narrow lines, around the figure 8 and then weave in and out of the cones. The excitement level is always very high!!! Both kids did really well and had a fun time doing it! Sadly...Jake did not want to pose for pictures. So, I took snapped what pictures I could get!

Winners have not been announced yet!

School Pictures....

A first grader and a third grader. Wow!!! Got the love the posed "school picture" look. Wonder if they ran out of combs by the time they got to Jake's class??? Good thing we have family pictures coming soon!

5th Annual Women's Retreat....

This past weekend was the 5th Annual Women's Retreat for Mt. Calvary at Camp Lone Star. This is the 2nd year that I was in charge of coordinating it. Always a little bit daunting when you know a group of women are looking to you to plan a fun, meaningful weekend! I chose the Cozy Mountain Lodge kit which focused on the book of Ruth. The weekend was so much fun. We had 20 women this year which was more than last year!! The women who presented did a awesome job!! The book of Ruth is so short, but when you really dive into it, there is so much packed in there!!!

We had a good mix of women...from 2 teenagers all the way up to 2 in their 80's. We packed the weekend with Bible study, crafts....one women who is an Art teacher brought clay and we made our own mugs! We also made a sugar scrub. Ate lots of good food and snacks, played games, skits, campfire, smores and a sing-a-long!
Winners of the annual skit contest....they won the Good Egg Award.

Spinners....a fun domino type game.

Part of our decorations....which also included a play house to be our "cozy mountain lodge". The weather even cooperated and turned cool late Saturday! By Sunday morning it was even a bit chilly!!
It's always an awesome weekend. It takes a lot of work to put it together, but it is SO worth it. Such a wonderful group of women to share a weekend with!
