Happy Easter!!!

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating with church, friends and family!!

The EB hid baskets in the man cave. The kids left them outside on the patio and somehow the Bunny got inside to hide them. Sneaky Bunny!!!

And there were some fun surprises in baskets this year...a new pair of Bobs for Sophia!

And a Spurs jersey for Jake. He had been saving up allowance money to buy one but the Bunny had other plans!!!

Joshua got a new Spurs tanktop, Legos and flip flops!

Happy kids before leaving for church....

But this is more their usual style!!

Outside church...

After church we headed to the Marafioto's for their annual Easter cookout and festivities. Lots of kids, eggs, food and fun!!!

What a good group of kids!!

Love this picture of Jake!!!

And after the Marafioto's we headed to Shirley's for another egg hunt and dinner. By the end of the day, we were all pretty tired!!

Thundering Herd...

This is Joshua's 2nd season on the Thundering Herd. :) He is rocking the field!! He is a competitive little player and Chris is a great coach. It's a lot of fun to watch this team play!

Winner Winner!!!!

Sophia set out to win the Cake Contest...and she did!!! Overall Top Cake for 2nd grade!!! She was so excited. And already thinking about her cake for next year!!

Carnival Time....

Northwood Carnival time....everyone was so excited!!! It was a beautiful day to go have some fun!!

Kind of blurry...but Jake made it almost to the top of Jacob's Ladder. This was his first attempt. Later on he made it top the top to win the prize.

Joshua spent a lot of time at the Cub Scout Rubber Band Gun booth!!!

A little karaoke with friends....

And a round in the Ticket Blaster to round out a fun afternoon!!

So...after 4 hours, 2 cakes, a Spurs basket and some fun new hair color....it was time to head home. Another fun Carnival!! Northwood knows how to have a good time and raise a lot of money for our little school!

Catching Up...

Soccer...feels like we are living on the fields these days. Sophia has 2 practices a week. Joshua has 1. And most weekends they each have a game. Whew!!! It's a lot of soccer!!! Sophia's team moved up this year to the Fire division. It's more competitive, more practices, they work on positions more. It's been great. They have a trainer that works really well with the girls. Sophia is working hard and getting better and better!!

And how about a little hail to make a Monday more interesting??? The skies opened up and it hailed like crazy!!! We hopped in the truck to pick up Jake from tutoring. Wowzas!!!!

The big excitement this week was TWO field trips. Joshua has been waiting and waiting for his turn to ride on a bus. He was so excited. Kinder went to the Magik Children's Theater to see Llama Llama. It was one of the best plays we have seen there. Really good.

He was waiting to get on the bus. Excitement level (and the sun) were both very high!!!

Joshua and his little buddy Jake waiting for the play to start.

And then it was Sophia's turn for a field trip. Second grade went to Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch.
Another good field trip. They give an hour tour around the grounds and then an hour ride through the actual ranch.

Last stop was the Petting Zoo. Some crazy goats in there!!

And lastly...Sophia and Grammy baked and decorated this cake for the Carnival Cake Contest tomorrow. She has high hopes of winning!!!
