Trip to the Ranch...

The kids and I went to the ranch for 2 days to spend time with Mary, Brad and the kids. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.

Lucy having fun on our cow ride.
Creek stomp....we walked a long ways!!! We are determined to make it all the way to the mouth of the creek next time!
Jake and Grant found a snake skin.
Joshua hanging out the top of Mary's sun roof as we drove to the creek!

Parade Time....

Northwood Pres. was invited to be in the Alamo Heights Holiday Parade (which was before Thanksgiving....Sophia pointed out that we should be wearing turkey shirts instead of red and green!!). It was kind of a last minute deal and we scrambled to get things ready. So...at the parade there were 3 families that showed up. Only 1 kid is a current NPDS student...the other 4 are graduates. But...armed with a banner, ABC and 123 signs, a John Deere ride-on, a wagon and a bunch of candy to throw...we were ready to march!! It was a great time. The kids loved throwing candy. And we saw a good handful of people we knew along the parade route. It was a fast 1.3 mile parade....at times were running to catch up!! It's motivation to move fast when you have a large tour bus type vehicle right behind you!!

Sophia is always ready for a picture!!!

The banner that we made.

Some of fun motorcycles that were in the parade.

Our view as we walked....

And...after the parade we got pictures with with the Storm Trooper!!

There were only 9 of us representing NPDS, but we had a great time. And now we know what we need to do next year to make it even better!!!

Must Be a Fun Friday When....

You get to have a 5 min dance party at the end of the school day because it's your teacher's birthday!

You get to leave on a 10 day trip to Kansas with just Daddy and Grammy!

A play date with a friend involves an art project like this!!! AND....since your mommy rode her bike to come pick you up...she has to ride home with it on top of her handle bars!

Goofy and Glamorous Day...

Mrs. Martha always does Goofy and Glamorous Day for the letter G. Joshua has been so excited to wear the Shrek ears!! And turn his shirt backwards, wear 2 different socks and put socks on his hands! Quite an exciting day for the Young 4's class! :)

Baylor Homecoming Weekend....

Going to the Baylor Homecoming Parade has become a tradition and the kids LOVE it!! And every great parade should start off with green and gold sprinkled donuts!!!

Waiting for the parade to start...it was running late this year!!!

And here it comes!!

Bruiser is always a big hit! The kids were hoping for high fives, but he hopped on the car and took a little ride as they were going past us.

And the big bear balloon....another favorite!

Sophia loves spending time with Uncle Brad!!

This won the Judges Award....but later broke down around campus and the parade had to be re-routed!!

On Sunday the kids and I needed to get out for awhile. It was a beautiful morning and we were alone at the house (mom left early and Mike was still hunting). So, we went on a 4 wheeler ride and took many stops to get out and take a little hike. Walking back up the river hill was a little more than they expected!!!
