Happy 14th Birthday!!

Our oldest is 14!!! How did that happen?? We went from this bundle of tiny happiness....

to this big 14 year old!! Jake got to celebrate #14 in Kansas at the farm...since we had plans to be here for a family wedding.

His big gift this year was a pair of KD9 shoes. New kicks for 8th grade!!

 There have been lots of changes this year. A lot of dr appointments...a lot of information and learning about some new issues. Jake is beyond tough...there have been a lot of needles and tests this year...but he takes it all in stride. We are so proud of the young man he is growing up to be, all the growing he has done this year!, and how strong he is. We love you so much!!

Pre Cousin Camp Time....

The week before Cousin Camp, Mary needed help with the kids so I said they could come stay with us for the 4 nights before the beach. Her plans changed, but the kids still wanted to be together, so we kept the plans.

5 kids in the house was a bit nuts. And I was trying to finish up work to leave for a few days. But we did manage to have some fun outings!!

The AH pool is always fun!!

We spent 2 1/2 hours at Urban Air!! The kids were climbing fools!! They spent SO much time on the rock walls.

And we went to Splashtown...which was a wild and crazy time. 5 hours with 5 kids!!! I was worn out. Not sure how the kids have such unending energy!!!

One morning we went to Landa Park for a picnic and swimming. It's a spring fed pool (super cold!!!) and the kids were so-so about swimming there. We only spent about 2 hours and then they were ready to go home.

Cousin Camp 2017

This year we decided to combine our beach trip, birthday celebration and cousin camp into one trip! It was an awesome trip! The weather was so nice...hot but not super windy. The kids had a blast together.

Every year we go on the Dolphin Cruise...and this year was no different! We saw lots of dolphins. When they dragged the nets, they pulled up some creatures, but not a ton.

The kids LOVED the pirate attack. Lucy was very intent on defeating the pirates!!!

 It was a little hard to do the annual scavenger hunt, but we did the best we could. The final prize was colored hair spray.

We went down for a crab hunt every night. Sophia was a rockstar catching a super big one!!! One night we had a Wille vs. Herridge contest. We won for the biggest crab (thanks Sophia!!) and the Herridges won for the most number of crabs.

It was such a fun trip. The kids had a blast together. Thankfully the rain held off until the day we left! Cousin Camp is always a wild and crazy time...and this year the beach was the perfect place to

have it.

Deer Creek 2017

This week at camp was a big success!! All 3 had a great week and made new friends. It's so much fun to see all the pictures....they were going fast and furious all week!!!
