A Week at Camp....

While the boys were home enjoying VBS, lots of pool time and some swing time....

Sophia was having a blast at camp!! At least once a day we'd say "I wonder what Sophia is doing right now!?" And the answer...having tons of fun!!!!

It was so fun to pick her up this morning. All smiles as the campers ran onto the field to meet their parents!

TBarM runs an amazing camp. They do an incredible job of organization, fun and sharing the word of God. I'm so happy that Sophia was able to do overnight this year and that she had so much fun. She can't wait to go back next summer. And I hope Jake will go too!!

Camp Bound....

Today is the day Sophia has been waiting for! TBarM drop off day. The start of overnight camp.
6 days of camp fun!!! She is going with 3 friends. We met for lunch and exchanged cabin gifts.

Then it was off to TBarM. They have a good system for dropping off luggage, checking in and then waiting to meet the counselors. They deliver stuff to the cabins which is so much easier than dragging it around!!

Rylie, Sophia and Finola with Olympic swimmer Josh Davis. He is there helping with a swim camp this week.

Sophia on her bunk...super excited. The 4 girls are in the same cabin...Wild Horse. Sophia got a top bunk. We helped her get the bed made and shower stuff in the right place...and then said our goodbyes.

Her home for the week. Can't wait to hear ALL about it.

Summer Fun....

We are slowly falling into the routine of summer!!

Fun at the pool...

Pool parties with friends and picnics on the grass...

Meeting up with MY friends at Fiesta Texas for a day of fun! So much fun to spend the day with Shalon and Sherrill and all our kids. We had a great time!

Summer means that you can declare a day "Wild and Crazy Day" and drink Coke for lunch. :)

Family fun at the Missions game. A perfect night for baseball. We were in the shade and there was a breeze. Missions were tied until the bottom of the 9th when they made the winning run!

Enjoying the fireworks show afterwards!

On the First Day of Summer....

We went to the Zoo!! And saw big snakes...

Hung out with the Hippos. They are fascinating to watch!!!

Checked in with the elephant...

Fed the birds at Lory Landing...

Rode the new carousel. Everyone wanted a specific animal...so we were so spread out that my pictures are not too great! Joshua picked the deer with big antlers. Sophia wanted the snow leopard. Jake and I sat in the birds nest.

And since we still had a bit of energy left, we rode the train and fed the ducks. Whew!!! What a day!!

Last Day Hooray!!!

We made it!!! We now have a 1st, 3rd and 5th grader in the house. This year FLEW by. It seems like I always say that. But this year was super fast!!! All 3 kids had an awesome year!!! Joshua did so well in Kinder. Sophia made straight A's. And Jake made all A's and B's!!!

Joshua was absent on class picture day, so I took a few of his class today. Such a sweet group of kids. I helped out a lot in his room this year.

Sophia and Mrs. Miller. Sophia really loves her!

Check out those t-shirts!! :)

Jake and Mrs. Taylor. He had a really really good year. And I was happy to have a friend as his teacher. She worked so hard with him and it really paid off!!!

Joshua and Mrs. Schlough. Sad to say goodbye to her!!! Sophia had her too and she is an amazing Kinder teacher. So loving and patient!!

Afterschool picture!

And someone was a bit sad in the car after school got out. "I don't want to leave Kindergarten. I don't want to leave Mrs. Schlough!!" I kind of felt like joining in on the tears too!!!

After school we went to the park to celebrate with the 4th grade group. Now...check out this group of now 5th grade boys!!!! Wow!!!

At the end of every school year I get a bit sad. Sad to say good bye to wonderful teachers. Sad that the kids are getting big so fast. Northwood is an incredible little school with so many wonderful teachers. They work so hard and care about the kids so much. We are all ready for summer and a break from the routine...but it's hard when such a good school year is over!
