Flambeau Parade....

This year we got tickets to the Flambeau Parade...which is at night. I was going to take Jake and Sophia, but she got invited to a sleepover and chose to go instead of the parade. So...lucky Joshua got her ticket! Mike was playing golf (and wasn't too excited to go), so the boys and I braved downtown alone. We had a great time. They both did really well. I was worried about parking and walking...thought for sure I'd be carrying at least one kid. But, it was all very easy! We were sitting with a whole group of Northwood people. Great friends, lots of food and entertainment made for a very fun (and very late) night.

Front row seats!

 Most of the Northwood kids.

Silly string and casacarones before the parade started.

I took this picture for Sophia...I thought she would like Cinderella's coach!

So many lights!! It is a really beautiful parade!

El Rey Feo

Fiesta time in SA! El Rey Feo came to visit NPDS. They even had a mariachi band playing while we waited!!! And then the entourage came....I bet there were 7 or 8 cars and a police escort on motorcycle! Wow!! Everyone was handing out medals and they were all so nice. Rey Feo gave a really nice "talk" to the kids (which was a little over their heads) but told them that God has given everyone strengths and weaknesses. We need to learn to use the strengths to do good things and to learn to overcome and deal with the weaknesses. It was a really good message.

And you can't have a Fiesta event without cascarones!!! Joshua and James took turns with each other!

Hmmm....

Went into Sophia's room to clean up and this is what I found!! All 3 kids had been playing together. I wonder how this scene played out!!!

Cousins....

Christopher's birthday was last weekend. The kids had fun playing together. Christopher got the Star Wars movies...and course that meant we had to stay to watch some of them. Makes me wonder....how many generations will Star Wars impact?? It just keeps going and going!
Two 3 year olds and one almost 2 year old....how do you think this ended?? I admit...Sullivan's tantrum that involved shaking and a completely red face was kind of cute to watch!

Sea World Field Trip

4 classes of Kinder kids + a field trip to Sea World = a whole lot of fun!!!!
I'm glad I was able to go with Sophia's class yesterday. It was a great field trip. A few bumps in the road (who really needs lunches???) but the kids got to see a lot and had a great time.
The walrus refused to get out of the water...so they couldn't do the show they had planned for the kids. Instead we got a Shamu show...which they loved!!
Feeding the dolphins was the highlight of the day!

Northwood Carnival

Northwood Carnival is always a big event!!! The tie dye t-shirts this year were pretty cute! The kids had a great time. It was hard to get pictures of Sophia because she spent most the time running around with her friends!! Quite the social butterfly!!!
Getting ready to head out the door!!
Silly string, rubber band gun shooting...and we came home with 3 free fish! Lucky us!

Second grade organized a flash mob dance this year. They practiced and practiced...and when they heard "Beat It" playing from teh karoke stage...that was thier clue to head to the blacktop to get ready. Jake hopped right up there and joined in. It was really cute!

Happy Easter!

The bunny came and filled baskets....and also left some bunny tracks. But, the kids didn't seem to notice!

Big BBQ at the Marafioto's. They had lots of food, a big egg hunt....Jake was the big winner because he found the golden egg!...and a pinata.
Caught with candy in her mouth!
Our last stop was to go to Shirley's for family dinner. More good food and another egg hunt! But, I didn't do a good job of taking pictures there.
Everyone had a wonderful Easter...and was very tired at the end of the day!!

Playing in the ditch...

Jake and I recently took a short cut to Tobin Park through the water ditch (I'm sure there is a different name). It goes under the street and he thought it was so much fun to ride through the tunnels. Yesterday I took all 3 over there to ride bikes and play. It really is a good place for them to play.

They had races up and down the "walls".Torn shorts...the sign of some hard playing!!!
Jake liked crawling in the tunnels...who knows what was back there!!!

Pre-School Egg Hunt....

Joshua's class had their egg hunt on Thursday. The big kids had told him to get A LOT of candy...so he could share with them...of course! He was a man on a mission. It is always so cute to see them running around and so excited!

First tooth....

Just the other day Sophia was so upset and telling me "I'll never lose a tooth!" Well...last night was her big night. I didn't realize it was so loose...so at dinner I told her to sit down...and I pulled it out. She was so excited. She's been waiting to use her Tooth Fairy pillow for a long time. And I have a feeling she might get to use it again this week. The other bottom tooth is just about to come out too!
