Busy Weekend....

It was quite a weekend around here. Thursday started off with the Fiesta Parade at NPDS. Joshua designed his own float...a red race car.

Swim lessons with Ms. Diana. Joshua is doing great and having lots of fun. He's all about the races across the pool!!

Saturday night was the Flambeau Parade. We had front row seats again. Lots of friends and lots of fun!

Opa and Sepp were marching with the Civil Air Patrol. The kids were so excited to see them!!!

Jake and Mike missed all the Flambeau fun because they were in Houston at NASA with the Cub Scouts. They had their own fun with rockets, tram tours and play time!!

The Angry Birds playground inside NASA...a big hit with Jake!!

After all the extra fun....we need a weekend to recover from the weekend!!! :)

Our Little Softball Player....

Sophia is loving softball!!! She's on a great team with mostly Northwood girls. The coach is the same one from last years t-ball team. She's having fun and doing so well!! At the game on Saturday she made 2 great hits and got someone out at 3rd base. :)

Super Heroes in the House....

Don't you feel safer knowing these 2 superheros are protecting our neighborhood?? I sure do. :)
And...speaking of Super Heroes....take a close look at this...#10 Jacob Wille from Northwood Elementary!! This is an online reading program that the kids use. They earn tickets and Jake has made the leader board! #10 in the whole state!!! Such an accomplishment. They are going to recognize him on the announcements tomorrow at school. So proud of our little superhero and all his hard work!

Party Weekend.....

It felt like nonstop fun and excitement this weekend. And I was WORN out!!! :) Northwood Carnival was on Saturday. The kids had a blast. We were there the whole 4 hours. Wow!!! Sophia sang karaoke 2 times!! Lots of silly string, prizes and we were lucky enough to come home with 3 goldfish!

Christopher's party was yesterday. Obviously a super hero theme!!! Courtney asked me to make capes as party favors. They were a big hit!!!

Now I feel like we need a weekend to recover from the weekend!!!

Bluebonnets

There are not a lot of wildflowers this year because we haven't had much rain, but we took advantage of a big patch in MacAllister park.

The balloon pictures turned out really cute...but it was quite an ordeal to get the kids to cooperate!!

We'll save this one to show at their rehearsal dinner. :)

Saying Goodbye....

I am headed to Tulsa later today so say goodbye to Dick. He passed away on Saturday. He was a wonderful man who had been through so much. The kids loved visiting him each summer and I felt like I had grown a lot closer to him in the past few years. A grandfather and great grandfather that will be greatly missed. We love you Grandpa Dick!

Happy Easter!!!

What a fun filled few days. Too many eggs to count and enough candy to keep the dentist busy for a long time!!!

Joshua's egg hunt at school....

I'm not sure where this new posing is coming from. It's pretty cute though.

The Easter Bunny stopped by our house. Jake was up extra early to see what he had brought.

And..a little bunny helper left this for me and Mike. Sophia is so thoughtful. :)

Then we headed to church for the celebration. I know cascarones are part of the fun, but the mess drives me crazy!!! Our bathroom is now covered it in. I managed to escape the confetti for awhile...and then got attacked at Shirley's house later.

Joshua wasn't too happy about posing for a picture when he had a basket of candy to eat!!! I was slowing him down!

After church we headed to the Marafioto's for their Annual Easter Celebration. There were about 7 families there. Egg hunt, pinata, cupcake decorating, lots of good food and friends. We had a great time.

And by the last stop of the day, I was too tired for pictures!! Shirley made dinner and we squeezed in one last egg hunt before it started pouring!!!
We had a wonderful Easter and are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family around to celebrate with.
