Deer Creek 2017...

The kids all left for a week of overnight camp. The boys were not overly excited...but they all seemed happy at drop off!!!

These are the pics I've seen so far!

I don't know what they are doing...but I love the grin on his face!!!

Vegas Baby!!

Kelly and I met up in Vegas for a 3 night trip. They were going to celebrate Austin's bday...and it worked out for us to come too! It was much different in Vegas with 5 kids in tow, but we managed to have a lot of fun!!! Jay came too. So we had 3 adults and 5 kids (Ryan was still in Italy).

The kids were SO excited to see all the fancy things. We stayed at The Venetian and had a great room with a view!

The first day we went to Hoover Dam. It was beautiful!!! We took the dam tour...which included the power plant. It's a very weird feeling to be so down inside the dam!!!

They take pics in front of a green screen as you come in. Pretty cute pics (to purchase of course).

This was taken out one of the big air vents...looking back up at the dam. When you get the to the top and you realize how far inside the dam you were....wow!!!

The big love art was inside The Venetian.

Joshua's big "have to do" was to eat at a real Vegas buffet. We went to the Wynn for breakfast...and the decorations were amazing!!! It felt like stepping into Alice in Wonderland!

And of course the kids LOVED the buffet!

Treasure Island was across from our hotel and every night they had this amazing volcano show. The heat was crazy!!!

This was inside the Bellagio. Most of it was made from flowers and it smelled soooo good!

Outside the wax museum....

Joshua's other "must do" was seeing the Sphinx outside the Luxor. We checked Jake's "must do" off the list when we went to see it....riding the monorail.

There are lots of worlds in Vegas....Coca Cola World, Hersey World, M&M World...and of course we hit them all!

Before we said goodbye, we recreated the pics from 4 years ago when we drove to California....right around Austin's birthday. Not much has changed...the kids are taller. But our friendship remains as strong as ever. Even the kids picked up right where they left off last time. There were a few tears when we said goodbye...I wish we lived closer. So glad we were able to spend some time together!

Memorial Day 2017

We went to the ranch for Memorial Day. Grant and Lucy were already finished with school....and it was really hard to come back for the last 3 days of our schools.
We had lots of fun on a creek stomp. There had been enough rain to have a decent amount of water. We were hoping to catch crawdads....and only got one. But the kids had a lot of fun playing and swimming.

Fairview had a service to honor Dugan on Sunday. I didn't get any pictures, but it was a really nice service and there were a lot of family members that drove to be there.
