Young Masters...

Joshua's art was chosen to be on display at the Young Masters Art Show this week. They choose a certain number from each grade at each school, and have a big showcase at one of the district's gyms. Joshua and Mike went in search of his piece while I took Sophia and Jake to softball. What a happy little guy in front of his "marker and crayon" creation. That's about all he could tell us. No other details. :)

 

Spring Break at the Ranch...

We took at few days over Spring Break to go to the ranch. Weather was pretty nice and we spent a lot of time outside. The big excitement was catching 9 hogs in the trap!!! So exciting that we had to go back a couple times to look at them. :)

 

Fourth Grade Fun...

Fourth grade takes a field trip to Austin every year. It's a big deal!! They leave early on chartered buses and get back late. It's a ALL day thing. They visit the Capital, picnic on the grounds, then go to the Bob Bullock Museum. I was one of the lucky parents to ride the bus. :) The kids were really good. And I have never been to the Capital (that I remember) so it was really interesting to see everything. We had a guided tour at the Capital and at the Visitor's Center. And free time at the Museum.
