Girls Trip to Fredrickburg

Lyndon had been telling us for awhile that we needed to come and use his house for the weekend. After his diagnosis, he really really wanted us to go and have fun. So the 5 of us met for a fun overnight trip.

Played with Lola...

Lots of shopping....Lola got a new outfit! 

And had a really nice dinner out. 

 

Aggieland....

Sophia wanted to take an official tour of A&M...so Joshua came along for the fun. It was a great tour...lots of things to see. And we got to spend time with Sarah and Jeff. 

Soon she'll be submitting her application....and waiting! 

Even had time for some thrifting! 

 

Step 1 of fixing TMJ....

Sophia has been dealing with TMJ issues since early this year. Step one was to get her wisdom teeth out. Not fun at all but maybe it will help with the pain and/or popping. Next step is to straighten and fix her bite. 

 

Birthday Trip to Comfort....

Mom and I took an overnight trip to Comfort for our birthdays. We stayed in this really cute hotel that had lots of buildings and little houses. It was along the creek (which was totally dry). We had fun shopping, eating and relaxing. 

 

 Mom wanted to make her own version of a very expensive fire extinguisher lamp. She got it for a great price!!

Mini Cousin Camp 2023

Cousin Camp looked a little different this year. Since his diagnosis, Lyndon had been living with Mary and Brad. The kids needed a break from the situation so Grant and Lucy drove down for 2 nights in San Antonio. We did Schlitterbahn the first day and had so much fun. Mom had dinner ready for us when we got back to SA. The next day the kids all slept late. There was really only one main Cousin Camp activity but we made the most of it. 

 

Costa Rica....

We took another girls trip to Costa Rica--Brenda, Brittany, Cheryl, Kathy and I went for 5 nights and packed in a ton of fun!!! From a very memorable sunset cruise, to a waterfall hike, to being close enough to a sloth to reach out and grab it...we did SO much.

We were SO close to this sloth. And watched it for so long. Amazing!

Tamarindo is such an amazing place. We had so much fun....tons of laughs, food and stories to share. So glad I was able to go! 

 

Deer Creek 2023...

Another year at Deer Creek. Joshua decided not to go...too many changes and he never really made the friend connections that Sophia did. 

Sophia always has fun at camp but did notice a lot of changes this year. It might be her last one so she packed in all the fun she could.
