Halloween....

Halloween at Lisbeth Anne's new house....not nearly the crowds this first year...but next year will be even better! 

Lisbeth Anne and I were wearing "Problem Solved" shirts. I added some dirty jeans and boots. Mike was Rip from Yellowstone. 

  

And Ranger had a cute skeleton costume!

 

Brahma March...

Joshua is on the Golf Team this year so we of course we went to Brahma March. They did a Hawaiian theme this year. 

                                               

                                                 

Christopher is on the JV football team so we got to see him too! 

 

Another Driver in the House....

 All smiles at the DPS office!! We were there early....he passed the test and was ready for keys. He dropped me off at home...and was off on his own. 

Joshua is 16!!!

Happy #16 Joshua!!! His birthday started super early with his annual doctors checkup...no rest for the 16 year old!!

We did quick birthday donuts and then it was off for the day. 

 

This will be the year where I officially retire from my taxi driver job. I'm handing over the 

keys to the last driver!!

The baby is officially 16...it doesn't seem possible. It was just the other day that I sent Jake and Sophia off to preschool...did a million "mom" things....and then went into labor the next day. Arriving 4 weeks early, you've done things on your own time frame!! You are the perfect funny,

 quick witted caboose for our family. This is going to be a great year!!! 

College Inn...

Move in day!!! I had heard the stories....we were as prepared as possible. Two cars FULL of stuff. One  "extra" car so the boys could drive home after they were done helping. 

We had all the right hang tags, we were in line at the right times....it was quite the process!!! It took about an hour from getting into line to pulling up at her dorm. 

 When we rolled up to College Inn, we had 15 min to unload. With 5 of us shuttling items up to the her room and large rolling bins to help...we got it all upstairs to the 4th floor pretty quickly. Only one roommate was there so the room wasn't too crowded. She took the room she thought was hers and we started moving things around and unpacking. 

The boys tackled the common area....setting up the futon and moving furniture around. 

Gifts for the roomies...

Finally done for the day...we went back to get Sophia's car from Tractor Supply where we left it earlier. 

We said our goodbyes and headed home....with a few tears!

Turns out...she was in the wrong room and had to flip to the other bedroom. I went back up on Monday. I brought a few extras items and made sure she was totally settled. 

Graduation gift coming in handy!!

And her finished side of the room....so cute!! A home away from home!!

                                                   

First Day....

And then there was one left. Joshua gets 2 years of being the only kid in the first day pic. First day of sophomore year. He has 2 weeks before he gets his license and drive himself to school! 

 

Dinner with Opa...

Katherine was home for a month or so. They were in town to see Julie's mom so we met them for dinner at La Fonda.

The Big 21st...

Jake got to celebrate #21 during our Toronto trip. We brought decorations with us and bought birthday donuts and cake at the neighborhood grocery store. 

His first legal drink was a sub par margarita at a Canadian restaurant. He needs a real one 

back in San Antonio!!!

It's so hard to believe our baby is 21!! Seems like just the other day we stopped for a big ice cream sundae on the way to the hospital to be induced. Time really does fly. We are so proud of you Jake and can't wait to see what happiness this year brings your way! 

George Strait....

George Strait had his final tour this year and was playing at Kyle Field. We went back and forth about tickets....they were not cheap!! But we decided to go and it was the BEST!! Joshua opted out and stayed home. Mike, Sophia, Jake and I left around noon, had an early dinner with Nicole and headed to the stadium. 

SO many people!! The concert set an all time record for the most number of people at a concert....around 110,00. We had seats up high but still had a great view. 

It was pretty hot and once we got to our seats, we really didn't want to leave!! All the lines were long so we just got some water and stayed put. 

It really was incredible. We had so much fun. He played all the great songs. Just George on stage singing...nothing flashy. They did have bracelets that lit up during some songs but overall just singing all the good songs!! He sang "Just an Old Troubadour" as the last song...walked all the way out but then came back for an encore. 

Truly an unforgettable night. It was crazy hot, crowded and took an hour to get out of the parking garage after the concert...and we got home at 4am. But we have such happy memories of the night!!

Bluebonnets at the Ranch...

We were lucky enough to catch the bluebonnets in full bloom at the ranch. I think they were extra pretty this year and SO many of them. 

 

Easter...
