RV Road Trip---The Beginning....

Here it is...our home for the 9 nights!!!! We're taking the leap and renting an RV for our big road trip. We picked up the RV on a Thursday night and it was a beauty. We were the first people to rent it! Only 700 miles on it when we picked it up. Lots of room inside...

We drove to a state park in East Texas for our first night. It was about a 6 hr drive. Not too bad!!! So nice rolling with room to spread out!!!

And then we drove to Memphis. This happened a lot on the trip....nothing better than sleeping in the car! Mike did ALL the driving. Close to 3000 miles by the time we made it home.

Our second night....the Graceland RV Park...right behind the Heartbreak Hotel!

There is a famous BBQ place down the street from Graceland that will pick you up in a pink Cadillac. Didn't get a pic of the outside of the car though. Very nice driver picked us up right from our RV spot and drove us to Marlowe's!

The Elvis décor was a bit over the top!

The food was amazing!!! We ate a mountain of food and dessert.

And how often do you see a giant pink metal pig out front. This was while we were waiting for the pink Cadillac to take us back to the RV Park. :)

We did not get to tour Graceland. I messed up on the actual dates for Cousin Camp...and if we had stayed to tour, we would have gotten to Jellystone pretty late on Sunday. So, we hit the road early for Kentucky!!!
